Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the communication efficiency of a child with special educational needs and the importance of the sequential character of therapeutic treatment applied in work with a child with speech disorders. The paper provides a case study and presents studies on comparative analysis of results obtained during preliminary and control examinations. The results obtained are the effect of therapeutic activities which covered children with language communication disorders. The research allowed to find some regularities. It also proved that the sequential character of therapy determines the quality of changes taking place in particular areas of communication (linguistic) efficiency of a child with special educational needs. However, a necessary condition for the effectiveness of therapeutic treatment are professional, substantive contacts between the specialist and the parent, as well as the involvement of the parent in the therapy program, because only then the child has the opportunity to acquire communicative competence and use language patterns of the nearest environment.
