THE ACTUAL USE OF THE VIRTUAL WORLD: A META-ANALYSIS OF RESEARCH ON VIRTUAL REALITY

Summary/Abstract: Virtual reality is a rapidly evolving technology, which is successfully and increasingly present in various branches. The main purpose of this article is to tell whether the virtual reality is useful and functional in many areas of life. There were discussed such aspects as: phobia treatment, pain reduction, reducing the occurrence of post-traumatic stress, rehabilitation and medicine. Taking into account the listed examples of positive use of virtual reality it can be assumed that growth of this technology is both beneficial and necessary for society development.
