Summary/Abstract: This study aims at presenting a short analysis regarding the importance of the Azerbaijan’s heritage throughout history. The foray is essential for us to be able to understand the factors that led to the frozen conflict of Nagorno – Karabakh. The climax of the conflict was reached in 1988 but the foundation of the inter –ethnic conflict was reinforced and nurtured for centuries.
