Summary/Abstract: In the article, the author aims to highlight the importance of the history of science in the mathematical training of young people. The increasing need for information, their superficial use, may obscure a profound understanding of some notions. It is necessary to anchor the way notions have formed, to cultivating respect for the forefathers who have left lasting cultural traces.
