Summary/Abstract: At the end of August and the beginning of September 1995 the IVth United Nations World Conference on Women was held in BeiJing. More than 35 000 women participated in the conference and some 3300 meetings took place where over 50 000 issues and solutions to problems, as well as legal and practical examples of methods for achieving women's rights were presented. The conference worked in plenary sessions and workshops, and several representatives from Croatia participated in its work.
