Summary/Abstract: Characteristics of post-socialist countries, including the countries of the former Yugoslavia, are that they had, and still have, an exceptional sporting potential, but these resources are not sufficiently materialized, i.e. they are not being recognized as a potential factor for the development of the respective economic system, and a sustainable development of the concept of sports. Bosnia and Herzegovina, as other countries in transition, due to the attractiveness of sports, see a chance for the development of their own economy by linking sports with other socially complementary activities (tourism, hospitality, culture, education, trade, healthy food, etc.) and so want to increase the level of interest for potential investments. In this research, the authors tried to explore the factors that influence the development of the transition potential of Bosnian sports and its connection with its tourist offer.
