The sanctioning of the types of plurality of offences concerning the juveniles

Summary/Abstract: The new Romanian Criminal Code has brought substantial changes regarding the legal regime of the criminal liability of juveniles, both in terms of the criminal sanctions that can be imposed on them and the calculations applicable to the different forms of plurality of offences. As for this last remark, focusing on the issue of multiple offenses, we can point out that a set of legal rules is incumbent, the outcome being dependent on the one hand, on the nature of the educational sanctions (deprivation or non-custodial measures) and on the other hand, on the moment when the offences are committed. The interpretation and application of these legal provisions can become difficult, leading to different solutions in judicial practice.
