Summary/Abstract: Caucasus Region has always been of an importance to the historical life of Turks. Revan Region has always been a bridge between Caucasus and Anatolia. Revan’s having a favourable geographical location caused a constant invasion of this region. Armenians came to the region for the first time in 1441 during the reign of Kara Koyunlu State, founded in Azerbaijan land,. There weren’t any Armenians in the region until that time. When the Russians tried to take over the Caucasus, they chose the Christian Armenians as allies in the struggle with the Iranian and Ottoman states in the region. They began to use the Armenians in their own interest. In fact, out of that Russian-Armenian alliance both sides had their own interests. Subsequently, the European countries France, Britain and then America used Armenians to disintegrate the Ottoman Empire in the region and to serve their own interests. In 1828 the Tsarist Russians seized the Revan region with the Treaty of Turkmenchay. In order to bring the Azerbaijani Turks living in the Revan region into a minority, they made an intense Armenian population migrate from Iran and Anatolia to the Revan region. They forced The Turks, who were the real owners of the region, to migrate out of the region to Anatolia and Iran. The aim of the Russians in staging the Armenians in the region was to create a Christian power that could support them in the region in the future.
