WHAT IS THE PROPOSAL AS A THOUGHT SYSTEM, WHAT IS NOT?

Summary/Abstract: Conservatism has been one of the most discussed political thinking systems in Turkey, especially in the last fifteen years. This is due to the fact that a political movement which is coming from a conservative tradition and defining itself as conservative democrat is in power since November 3, 2002. Actually, conservatism which is a western originated concept, although it has been used by political Islam and religious masses since the establishment of the Republic in Turkey, is not sufficient to etymologically define those people or groups. In my work, conservatism will be defined by studying which place it takes in a range of political thought.
