Summary/Abstract: The Maritime Code provides that for any legal dispute of the crew member with the ship operator the real competence shall lie with commercial courts competent for the settlement of maritime disputes. This legal provision supersedes general provision anticipated in the Judiciary Act which provides that municipal courts have real competence in labor disputes.
