Summary/Abstract: The paper with its topic is both correlated to meditative and philosophical characteristics of Ducic's essays and his contribution to literary criticism. Ducic is mainly glorified as a poet of abundant talent, however, with his essays he proves himself as a skillful expert of literary expression and one of the greatest stylists of Serbian literature.
