Summary/Abstract: Cultural and educational association "Tarik" from Novi Pazar, during the World War II lead the battle for cultural rapprochement of peoples in Balkans. Composed out of pro-Bosnian, pro-Albanian and pro-partizan oriented youth of Novi Pazar. Association was founded by Abdulkerim Konicanin - "Ceho", technician and a group of students of schools from Sarajevo and others: Vehbija Hodzic, Dervis Ganic, Rizo Kolasinac etc. Association was founded in summer 1941. and abolished in 1942. Main tasks of cultural and educational association "Tarik" were: mass and different cultural and educational and sport activities in town and district Dezeva; gathering and upbringing of youth in the spirit of Islam; tackling alcoholism in general, and especially in youth. Shows were done in Novi Pazar, Kosovska Mitrovica, Pec, Sjenica and Tutin. Association had 8 permanent sections: literary, and teaching, drama, music, choir, poetry, reciting literacy, and oral newspapers.
