Summary/Abstract: The article discusses selected verbal and non-verbal aspects of greeting as a ritual and its communication message. In her reflections, the authoress takes into account elements of kinesics, proxemics and paralinguistics in greeting as convention. Among other aspects, the article also examines vocal communication of greeting.
