Summary/Abstract: Chromosome 22q11.2 deletion syndrome (22q11.2DS), also known as DiGeorge syndrome is a common contiguous gene deletion frequently associated with neuropsychiatric disorders, immune deficiencies and cardiac anomalies, with a variable degree of heterogeneity. Regarding the psychiatric manifestations, patients with 22q11.2DS have a high risk to develop Schizophrenia- like psychosis, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety and mood disorders, Early onset Parkinson's disease is associated with the genetic deletion with an increasing frequency, In this paper, we present a case of patient with a broad neurological and psychiatric history admitted for a psychotic episode and drug-associated dystonia, who responded atypically to standard protocol, resulting in a controversial case and difficult differential diagnosis.
