Summary/Abstract: This paper discusses the image-text relations and puts forth the idea that visual experience is not fully accounted for by the model of textuality. A parallel is drawn between Henri Michaux’s work and Wittgenstein’s remarks about rule following in order to illustrate the pragmatic values of vision.
