The methodology of forming an oral corpus of semi-structured interviews for the study of languages representation

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to briefly describe the methodological approach of our thesis regarding the construction of a spoken corpus of semi-structured interviews conducted with foreign medical students in mobility and / or temporary migration at the Ovidius University of Constanta, and with foreign doctors practicing in Romania, in order to identify and analyze their representations of languages. First, we will present the field of research and the mixed methods used to collect the oral data, and we will explain the main reasons for choosing the interview survey. Secondly, we will present the various stages of the survey implementation related to the methods used for the identification of subjects and the selection of the sample. Finally, we will describe some of the difficulties encountered during the data collection process.
