Principles of codification of lexical units in educational lexicography

Summary/Abstract: In this article we consider and analyze the principles of codification of lexical units in educational lexicography. Further theoretical and practical work in the field of projecting and compiling of educational dictionaries is impossible without preliminary collection and analysis of the main principles of codification of lexical units. The aim of the article is to make up a list of principles of codification of lexical units in educational dictionaries. As a result, we have found 16 principles of educational lexicography. Following these principles allows lexicographers to improve the qualitative characteristics while projecting and compiling the dictionaries.
