Summary/Abstract: This paper explores the ways Prof. A. Malawski understood the various kinds of interplay between economics, mathematics, and philosophy. In particular, it addresses the issue of the mathematicity of the economy and what it means for economics to be a mathematical science. Next, it focuses on the nature of economic laws. It concludes by claiming that the interpretative key to Prof. Malawski’s research lies in his deep humility.
