Summary/Abstract: Regarded from an economic angle, the contemporary world is the scene of three different processes. The most powerful impact on world economic trends in recent times has been exerted by the developing countries, through their demands and proposals. They aim at a radical change of international economic relations and thereby also at a change of the existing international division of labour, the system of distribution of revenue, price ratios, the activity of multinational companies. and a revision of the international trade and monetary system.
