Summary/Abstract: Pursuing the hypothesis that the Lemnos stele is of Thracian rather than Etruscan origin, the author applies the comparative method and collects all the available data with this end in view, to uncover the mythical story about Ares – a motif repeated in Greek and Serbian variants.
