Summary/Abstract: This paper analyses the Cyrillic annotations on the holdings of the Lepavina monastery regarding their contents and the most prominent writing features. Founded in the 16th century, the Lepavina monastery served as a centre of literacy for the Serbs living in that part of the Austrian Empire. Its history is forever connected with that of the miraculous icon of the Holy Mother of God of Lepavina, and it holds valuable assets within it, in the form of old manuscripts and printed books, both those donated to it and those written and copied in it. The writing and copying process concerning the texts in Serbian Cyrillic was followed by making annotations – primarily on the margins of pages, with regard to which the scribes from Lepavina are no exception. They left a number of annotations too, which Ljubomir Stojanović included in his collection entitled Old Serbian Annotations and Inscriptions (1902-1926), which are this paper’s focus.
