Summary/Abstract: In our Topic of the issue: A New Attitude to Tradition we present the readers with, at first glance, three quite different articles written by three most renowned theatre and drama theoreticians in, if not the whole world, then certainly Europe, Patrice Pavis, Hans-Thies Lehmann and Valentina Valentini, all of them creating a kind of Bahtinian multivocalist theme on how and by what means contemporary theatre and artistic practices close to it examine their attitude to their classical heritage and their own theatrical tradition.
