Teachers in the face of the need to use new information and communication technologies in the didactic process

Summary/Abstract: Information and communication technologies are necessary in the modern education. It results from the nature of development processes of science and technology as well as from transformations in education. The basic level of their dissemination in teaching practice is education technology as a discipline of pedagogical knowledge. The article presents the essence of information and communication technologies and their relations with the education process. The competences of teachers in the use of in formation and communication technologies are also presented.
