Summary/Abstract: The present study outlines the Jewish and Hellenistic influences that have left their mark on the theological and missionary personality of the Apostle Paul, starting from the autobiographical remarks of the apostle, to the perspectives of modern theologians on this subject. The present study also underlines the conversion of Paul as an escape from measuring justice in terms of the distinctiveness of the covenant and the practice within Judaism, the conversion being of an existential nature and not of an ethical nature. Thus, the Apostle Paul was not an immoral person or an transgressor of divine commandments, but he converted to a new religious perspective due to faith in Christ.
