Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The aim of the article is to identify and evaluate the market of emotional investments in Poland and to indicate the directions of its development. Design/methodology/approach – An analysis of source texts, scientific articles on alternative investments, including collectors’ investments; an analysis of individual segments of the emotional investment market in Poland and in the world based on available studies and reports. Findings – Emotional investments are an alternative to traditional forms of investing, combining the possibility of realizing investment goals with non-economic purpose. In conditions of unstable financial markets, through the diversification of the investment portfolio, they can contribute to a higher rate of return, with the same or lower risk. The market of the emotional investments in Poland is dynamically developing, which is manifested, inter alia, by an increase in demand for luxury goods, higher turnover of auction houses and an increase in the demand for the private banking services. Originality/value – The subject of emotional investments is still quite rarely undertaken in scientific studies. The article characterizes the emotional investment market in Poland and indicates the directions of its development.
