Summary/Abstract: Research evidence suggests that wearable devices bring in groundbreaking capabilities to the provision of healthcare. Using and replicating data from Accenture, AT&T, BCG, IDC, PAC, Statista, and Zebra Technologies, we performed analyses and made estimates regarding percent allocated by healthcare organizations of their annual IT budgets to investments for Internet of Medical Things solutions, current Internet of Medical Things investments in remote patient monitoring, the business drivers for offering wellness and prevention in Internet of Medical Things solutions, and spending on Internet of Things worldwide by vertical.
