Summary/Abstract: The events of October 1925 in the region of Petrich are evidence of military weakness of Bulgaria after its failure in The First World War. The invasion of the Greek army in the Bulgarian territory is the shortest war in the Balkans. Its termination is the result of rapid and efficient intervention of the League of Nations by impartial regard to its established international organizations and as well as a consistent and far-sighted policy of the Bulgarian government. Although brief, each war caused many casualties and material losses. The events of 1925 are evidence that state borders are protected by strong military and participation in international organizations. Border incident from October 1925, which soon escalated in open conflict between Greece and Bulgaria, was first case which put to the test newly created international organization - the League of Nations in its main role as protector of the world peace. Decision of Bulgarian government, which was weakened in military and economical sense by Neilly peace accords, to resolve the conflict peacefully with arbitration of League of Nations contributed in great extent this conflict to be resolved in favor of Bulgaria. Because the facts related to responsibility of conflict instigation favored Bulgarian side, state which was disarmed led the propaganda action by engaging all national forces both in Bulgaria and abroad and managed to win sympathies of public opinion in most of important countries. Positive echo of Bulgarian action and reaction of political circles, press and general public in Balkan as well other European countries during conflict itself contributed in large extent to localization of the conflict and to termination military actions. Publicity of this conflict made it possible to Bulgaria as country which advocates for peaceful resolutions of inter-state conflicts to gradually step-out from Balkan as well world isolation which was imposed to it by negative outcome of the Great War.
