Summary/Abstract: Author wants to illustrate two legitimate and mutually hostile democratic models: one, Eastern, stemming from Byzantium, and ending in Russia and Serbia, the other – Western, stemming from early medieval political experience, and finalizing in modern democracies. By contextualizing this political problem of diverging types of European democracies, author wishes to dispel the political myth of so called “authoritarian personality” of recent Serbian political rulers.
