Problems of upbringing and education among children from multi-problem families

Summary/Abstract: The family is a kind of educational environment, consisting of a number of elements, in which the most important are the interactions between different members of the family as they have a huge impact on the formation of children and adolescents’ personalities. The combination of different types of failure on the part of parents, lack of basic educational and upbringing skills - will often cause build-up problems in raising children. Therefore, the issue of the difficulties in education and upbringing of children from multi- problem families seems important. The research included in the publication was carried out in 28 families living in rural areas of Biała Podlaska administrative district. The analysis concerns school and educational situations of 13 boys and 15 girls aged 7-18 years. The article finishes with a discussion of the results of the survey conducted in the autumn of 2014.
