Summary/Abstract: A normative framework in the area of civil protection, along with the protection of subjects and assets, is of special interest for security, but also for a development of economy market and democratic society in general. It is known that with the adequat legal regulation are formed preconditions for successful organization and function of legal entities and entepreneurs, specialized for providing safety of persons and properties. In this thesis authors point out to the meaning of the normative legal regulations in private security in Republic of Srpska. They also define the main contents of the Law concerning the private security. This Law regulates the work of corporate persons and natural persons in private security; the conditions for licensing; the ways of work performance and supervision; services that include providing safety for persons and properties; work with physical and technical protection; as well as money transporsts, transports of other valuable subjects; handling with cash and slots; patrolling; order maintenance in public meetings, sports events and other places where citizens organize meetings, which is done by corporate persons registered for that type of service. Furthermore, in this thesis are given descriptions of jobs in private security, for which corporate persons must possess the adequat license, as well as the terms that must be fulfilled. The thesis also contents the authorizations for members of private security units. However, the terms that must be implemented will be defined afterwards, in the sublegal acts from Ministry of the Internal Affairs.
