The Ecological Menace — Mass appreciations and Reactions

Summary/Abstract: The Basic characteristics of ecological consiousness and behavior of masses in present situation are analyzed. Data of empirical studies are used for proving the conception of a high degree unification of the mass acceptance and reactions regarding the ecological menace. The conclusion is that the intergroup differences of the emotional surviving of the ecological risk or behavior models are not significant. Selections by age, sex, marital and professional status or by education do not make difference the personnel attitude regarding the ecological menace. These are the frames of the study on the going on contra-dictable relationships between the ecological variables of microenvironment location, personnel acceptance of the ecological risk and the behavior reactions. The estimation shows a high degree coincedence between the nature and level of the environment deterioration and the stress reaction. There is no however a high and one side correlation between the emotion tension and the behavior acting. The majority of cases prove prevailing of passive ways of behavior.
