Summary/Abstract: The ethnolinguistic symbiosis in the Balkans is clearly manifested in the toponymy andthe oikonymy of regions with mixed population. This research is based, on the one hand, on two Ottoman tax registers - that ofPeloponnese, dating from the second half of the 15th century, and the other one, from the region of Ioannina, dating from 1551, and,on the other hand, on my own records of current toponymy in the region of Golo Bordo/ Gollobordë(North-East Albania) and on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.
