THE PROCESS OF URBAN-RURAL INTEGRATION. USING THE EXAMPLE OF ZIELONA GÓRA

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the changes taking place in the socio-economic structure before the merger of the city and the commune of Zielona Góra. On this basis, as taking into account an analysis of the assumptions of contemporary urban transformations, the indications of the integration process of these two administrative units were presented. An attempt was also made to publicly assess the effects of the merger after 3 years. The analysis took into account the opinions of residents and changes in the structure of allocation of financial resources in the commune.
