Summary/Abstract: With this contribution we intend to bring to the attention of the specialists in lychnologycal studies a group of 23 ceramic lamps from the collection of the Bucharest Municipality Museum. From the beginning we mention that none of these lamps had an established archaeological provenance, they come from donations and purchases from private individuals. The artefacts are diverse in terms of typology, and their chronology spans throughout the Roman presence in the Lower Danube region, namely the 1st – 7th c. A.D. The dating of the artefacts was established by studying their typological characteristics, using the analogies quoted in the catalogue at the end of the present paper. All ceramic lamps described in this catalog are illustrated – drawings and photographs.
