Accents from Last Changes in Anti-Money Laundering Legislative Framework

Summary/Abstract: Object of the research are recent changes in anti-money laundering legal framework introduced by the new Law on the measures against money laundering adopted in 2018. Some key amendments in the European and the national legislation are presented briefly in chronological order, as well as main factors provoking the need for constant preventive initiative in this area. Analyzing some current legislative changes are specified several problematic areas related to their implementation. The question to what extent new legal requirements are sufficient incentives for improvement the national anti-money laundering framework is placed on discussion.
