Summary/Abstract: In his article Mr White provides (as a head of the mission) an insight into the success story of the ESDP Integrated Rule of Law Mission for Iraq, "EUJUST LEX". He sets the complex political and security context in which his Mission operates and describes the challenges the Mission has been facing since its inception in July 2005. He outlines the principles and objectives he has set for himself and his team as well as some of the Critical Success Factors (CSF) which have contributed to the Mission's achievements.
