Summary/Abstract: Since fra Grga Martić (Friar Grga Martić) was the member of the Illyrian Movement his literary language was, greatly influenced by Zagreb philological school and he tried to adjust his own language to the standards set by this school, However, as a Franciscan he could not help being influenced toy the older Franciscan literary and linguistic tradition. The aim of this paper is to investigate the extent to which the Illyrian linguistic practice interfered with the older Franciscan tradition.
