Viorica Grofşoreanu, an old woman from Comloş, tells the story of her childhood and her various experiences on the American continent, before her return to Romania. The entry focuses on one of the episodes of immigration that characterised the life of the inhabitants of Comloşu Mare and other villages in the Banat area at the beginning of the 20th century. The second extract from the oral history archives continues the interview with Vioara Grofşoru and presents a second one with Amalia Sarofolean, another inhabitatnt of Comloşu Mare, who mainly evokes the second half of the 20th century, marked by the drastic changes brought about by the communist regime and its influence on the life of the family and on that of the village as a whole.
