Summary/Abstract: Mr. Arieşanu's series of reviews focuses on four recent Romanian literary productions, belonging to Dumitru Oprişor, Elisabeta Isanos, Nina Ceranu and Ilie Chelariu. The author outlines the general features of the respective writings, both as forms of literary expression and as outlets of various states of mind. Paul Eugen Banciu studies the spectacular and dranatic nature of human existence as viewed from the standpoint of literature. The question of the evolution of literature is closely linked to the conflict between unicity and large-scale production in an age of professional consumerism that seems to doom the writer to a precarious and gloomy condition.
