Summary/Abstract: Based on statistic data and archive documents a gender analysis of the Bulgarian guerrilla fighter movement (1941-1944) and the "Unions of the fighters against fascism" (1946 - 1956) has be done. We aim at both revealing the typical male and female autobiographies of the antifascists and the socio-psychological mechanisms which led to the marginalization of the female antifascists in the Bulgarian communist state and the establishing of male patron-client power nets providing caste privileges and heroic macho image. The sources of homophobia has been also researched.
