Autonomous Institution and a Younger Work Community

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this note is a brief presentation of the research and teaching at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the Hungarian Department within the Babeș-Bolyai University. This department was created in 2011 according to the new Law of Education and opens up new perspectives for the Hungarian minority in Romania. During the last decade, many talented young people have been employed. We mention some of their research topics and stress that their results have been published in high-ranking international journals.
