Summary/Abstract: The question of salvation lies at the roots of theological inquiry. As one of the theological disciplines, soteriology treats the question of salvation in a systematic manner. Salvation, however, does not simply represent a general object of theological research, as it is also an anthropological category and touches upon the fate of every individual. Within this context, theology developed its doctrine of grace through which it seeks to answer the question of the conditions and forms of salvation for every individual. Hans Urs von Balthasar composed a theological treatise about salvation in the form of socaled dramatic soteriology that includes the rudiments of the doctrine of grace. This article seeks to outline the essential points and principles of Balthasar’s dramatic soteriology.
