Summary/Abstract: Archive legislation has been and still is a good prerequisite for the protection of archival material. Standardization of activities is a certainly a necessary step for successful work in archives as institutions. In the archival past, the adoption of professional measures, regulations and laws has always led to the good preservation of archival material that is important for society as well as for individuals.
