Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the work of the State Professional Women's Textile Knitting School in Sarajevo, which existed independently from 1927 to 1934. During this period, this was the only school in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes that trained its students, apprentices and craftmasters in professional textile knitting, in order to enrich this crafts among the population through its students. The shortcomings of the school, its program, the number of students, and the importance of the school are described.
