Summary/Abstract: Petko Todorov follows the literary fashion and the influence of his teacher, the idyllist Johannes Shlaff regarding the language, lexis and syntax. In the texts of both poets features of impressionistic style are discovered. The use of the blue color, the fog, the vague qualifiers for time and place, the abundance of indefnite pronouns and pronominal adverbs contribute not only to highlight the tendency to uncertainty, ambiguity and veiled content but display the idylls of particular subjective to the universal and eternal . The typical for impressionism objectifi cationis achieved by the use of excessive amount of verbs with non-dynamic semantics and numerous verbal, substantive adjectives, nouns for sensations etc. The coordinative connection and parataxis is essential at all levels to achieve simultaneousness of perceptions, not a sense of consistency.
