Summary/Abstract: While the future landscape of cyberspace is becoming quite complicated, NATO must define the potential threats and adapt its strategy to these challenges. In order to form an effective cyber security strategy, a significant number of challenges need to be taken into account for the foreseeable future. Apart from its member states NATO needs to cooperate with significant number of partner nations in order to establish an effective response mechanism against potential cyber threats for maintaining a safe, secure and resilient cyberspace. The paper focuses on the reasons that necessitated the formulation of NATO's cyber security strategy. The evolution of NATO’s cyber security policy has been delineated, various aspects of the latest strategy to prevent emerging cyber threats in the modern era and the prospects for partner countries have been examined, the proposals have been put forward to improve the cyber capabilities of Azerbaiajn Republic in cooperation with NATO.
