Summary/Abstract: This article briefly describes some of the challenges awaiting translators who wish to specialize in the translation of legal documents. The need to acquire domain-specific knowledge, to understand the “code” and the internal structure characterizing legal documents and to take up various interdisciplinary challenges is well illustrated by the ruling and final award analyzed in this article. Hardworking, perseverant and devoted translators will discover a surprisingly interesting and dynamic domain, far different from the dull picture described by laymen.
