Summary/Abstract: The paper gives a review of the origin and development of the management for the protection and assistance to unemployed persons with special emphasis on development of employment services in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sarajevo Canton. In this context, there is the list of tasks, obligations and activities for the state goverment, entities, private and NGO sectors who are alltogether responsible for the creation of the management employement policy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
