Summary/Abstract: This paper deals with the representation of the concept TERRORISM in the English discourse of news online resources. The research is carried out on the basis of the texts in which the studied concept is verbalized. The choice of the material is influenced by the fact that today's Internet resources reflect the major trends in the global community, faced with the problem of terrorism. The investigated concept is regarded as a complex structural mental construction, which requires a complex comprehensive approach to its study. The study design includes three stages. At the first stage ontology of the domain TERRORISM is created. The second phase includes the work with lexicographical sources using the definitional and component analysis and aims to identify those meanings, which form the concept core. The third stage deals with the construction of the frame of concept TERRORISM in the English texts of news online resources based on semantic and conceptual analysis. Definitional analysis reveals that in English texts the concept TERRORISM is based on the idea of terror, intimidation and violence. In the study the domain ontology TERRORISM has been constructed. It reflects TERRORISM as a complex and multi-layered activity, which is reflected in the hierarchy of frame model, representing the concept of macrostructure TERRORISM. Conceptual analysis shows that in the English discourse the concept TERRORISM includes such frames as "Subject of Assassination", "Assassination ", "Object of Assassination", "The results of Assassination", "Effects of Assassination". The first two frames are the most representative, while the frame "Effects of Assassination" is the least one.
