Smart logistics in the evolution of the logistics

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to try to define the scope of the meaning of the concept of smart logistics as well as to determine the place in the evolution of the logistics. The definitions available in the literature were analyzed and the author’s definition was proposed. The attributes of the smart logistics concept are indicated. The stages of logistics concept evolution were tracked and shown how of smart logistics concept determines the contemporary management of supply chains. The Internet of Things was discussed as a determinant of the development of intelligent logistics.
